Whitney placed second for a talent showcase in 1977.And she still became the biggest star on the planet even though she came second.This just shows that a lot of talent shows are not always right.She started singing for her mother’s band.Whitney mother was also a Singer too.A very good one too.It’s obvious that seeing her mother become a singer.It’s possible that she took inspiration from her.However , Whitney houston mother didn’t want her to enter the Music business.Whitney career evolved when she performed background for Chaka Khan and Lou Rawls it was released in the 1980s.
Whitney was discovered by a Photographer .She appeared on Magazines like seventeen , Glamour,Cosmopolitan.During 1979 -1981 labels wanted Whitney.The talent that she had was very interesting.And for a teenager to sound the way she sounds.We are sure that they were Amazed.Whitney mum turned them down.Because she wanted her daughter to finish High school.After her graduation she signed with Tara productions.Whitney cousin Dionne played a part when it comes to this decision for whitney to sign with this deal.Dionne had been in the Music industry.And knew what were good or bad deals.Whitney had guidance from her beginning of her career.And it’s nice to see she had a family member that could give her genuine advice.And not be taken advantage of.

After 2 years she was able to release her own project.It’s interesting to see how long it took when it came to having her first album ready.People are in a rush nowadays.And they release singles.Albums that have been watered for years.Isn’t being created like it used to.

1990/1991.Whitney Third album was released I’m your Baby tonight .Released in November of 1990.The album won her 8 Billboard awards in a night which is insane.To win that many awards.The influence that Whitney had in the 90s was amazing.People were trying to emulate her.And a lot of Singers look up to Whitney houston.And always use her an inspiration.1991 Whitney performed for the Superbowl.There was some criticisms because it was said that her vocals were pre recorded.Which sometimes in the music industry that happens . 1992/1994 During this time she was getting opportunities to starred in a movie.However , she didn’t feel like she was ready to act yet.
Her first film was called Bodyguard.It was a box office success.I will always love you was originally written for Dolly parton.The song was extremely popular.And you will see couples dancing to it as a tradition for a wedding.That how Iconic the song became to be.Her vocals also stood out.She was singing every lyric.She wasn’t just saying the words.But was coming up with unique vocals.To make the song flow with the lyrics.1995/1997. Whitney starred in a movie called Waiting to exhale . 1998/2000. Whitney houston was married and had 1 child called Bobbi kristina . Bobby brown was her husband and father of her child.Whitney houston had personal issues that she was going through.And people started noticing that maybe Whitney houston does drugs. And people always blamed Bobbi brown.However , it was confirmed by the Brother that he actually is the ones that introduced Whitney to drugs.1998 she released My love is your love.She was also featured in a duet with Mariah carey for the Soundtrack the Prince of Egypt.2000/2008.She was featured in a movie called Cinderella.She was the Fairy God Mother.
August of 2001 she signed one of the biggest deals.She renewed her contract for 100 million she was to release 6 new albums.December of 2002 she released her 5 album Just Whitney.2003 she released her Christmas album.2004 she was starred in a Bobby brown reality show.2009/2012. I look to you was the 7 and the final album of Whitney Houston. 7 Albums was quite a lot that she gave us especially when it came to her career.She was also a mentor for the X factor.Whitney was featured in a movie called Sparkle it was filmed in 2011.The movie was released in august of 2012 4 months after Whitney died.
Aaliyah was suppose to be Sparkle in the movie.However , she died.And Jordan sparks played the part of sparkle.Whitney died February 11 2012.And it was shocking for the rest of the world.For such a talented person to die at just 48 years old.There haven’t been Singers that have been able to sing like Whitney.Make music like Whitney.She is once in a lifetime.And people that had the priviledge to grow up listening to Whitney know that it won’t happen ever again.Whitney was an inspiration for so many Singers and even Musicians till this day.She will be talked about generation after generation because of her Unique sound.
Bobbi kristina Whitney daughter also died. And it was just 3 years after her Mother died.Bobbi kristina found it difficult to cope with her Mothers death.And she was featured in a reality show.After her Mother’s death.Whitney growing up in the church and singing could have also contributed to her vocals.Because the type of singing that you have to do in church.Your not just singing the song.You have to improvise your vocals.And many people don’t have that skill to do that especially in front of an live audience.It’s very hard .And that why Whitney houston will always be the greatest of all.
