The group was formed in 1985 in Philly by Michael , Nathan , Marc , George , Jon , Margueritte .The group was actually called Unique attraction.Wanya also joined the group during Freshman.The group found inspiration from New edition . New edition was a rising group.They had music that were extremely popular back then.Their music is a inspiration for many boy band groups.Their first album was released in 1991 it was called Cooleyhighharmony.All of the 4 members of the group was singing lead.Which is different from many of these groups.Weere they normally have 1 perso or even maybe 2 singing lead.Everybody had the opportunity whih is good.
Their first album was a major success.Which is rare for a new group to be nominated for their first grammy on their first release.You hear many stories about people struggling before even getting their first big break.Theyvwere put in together in a perfect manner.The people who put them together .Knew what they were doing.Because it worked very well.1992 . The group released a song called End of the road.And the song did very well.They were praised for their vocal ability.You could tell that they were singing every lyrics.The song was for a soundtrack movie featuring Eddie murphy.Christmas compilation was released in 1993.Their second album called ll was released.
It won 2 grammy awards.Their love songs that they would always sing was always popular and received well from the public.People like to hear about love music when it comes male R&B groups.They released their 3 album called Evolution.It was as successful as the other ones.They went on a global tour in 1997.They were thing going on behind the scenes.With their labels and even personal things that were happening.2002/2003 signed a deal with Arista records 2002.The full circle was released in 2002 july.It was the last album from Arista records.The group became popular in the 90s were music was a lot more different then now.
2004/2006. The group was a year out of the spotlight. After becoming famous from a young age.It makes sense as to why they were taking a break.2006 they released an album. It was exclusively released in Japan.They found a fanbase there that really liked their music.2007/2009. The group resigned with Universal music group called Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA.They were nominated for 2 grammy’s. The group was still in demand people were still listening to their music since the 90s.Longevity is in their history because they have amazing vocals.
The group released another album in 2011.There was also a reunion of a member called Micheal.The group were going on tours .And also performing.They have huge impact when it comes to groups.As of now .There aren’t really any boy groups.Are they not in demand because people don’t care anymore.Or is it hard to market boy groups.Boys II Men were coming up at the same time as Backstreet boys . 2 groups that were making music kind of in the same genre.However , Boys II Men was a lot more soulful.They had the better voice.Backstreet boys also make good music too.Groups like Maroon 5 , One directions , 5 seconds of summer came after them.
Boyz II Men was also featured on a song with Mariah carey called One sweet day you see how simple the music video is .And the song is extremely popular.Your voice was so important when it comes to making good music.The era that they were living in is a lot more different then now.In 2012 there was an Article that Boyz men were advising One direction to stay in England .They were saying that people don’t make nay money like that . Making big international in countries like England has more of an effect compared to the united states which is interesting.
Making it big as an international act. Is good because you can open up so many doors for yourself when people all over the world know who you are.People don’t always think beyond.Because they feel like it’s not possible .what can society do to make Boy groups popular again?.We should focus on talent again .And invest in them heavily when it comes to production and Artist development.Instead of just making them quick money.People nowadays are focusing on how they can exploit the Artist and that a very big problem. Is knowing too much when it comes to Acts nowadays.It overshadiws any type of Music that they want to release.20 years later Boyz II Men have been together and still going on tour.There are groups that have split up.when you groups have the same goals.When it comes to making good music.It’s easier to stay together.They have known each other for a long time.And know each other so well.
Boyz II Men have managed to keep their personal life privateYou don’t hear a lot about the Drama.Except for one of the goup members that apologised for cheatign on his wife.Which many Singers have done it.The entertainment industry is not a place for men to be loyal.Because they are exposed to so many things.Kandy burrus also talked about the fact that she felt disrespected.The music industry is full of people with different personality.And as a songwriter your going to deal with people that are not always the easiest to deal with.And that because they feel like they are better because of their status.
Songwriters have to always have thick skin when working with different musicians .Because all else they might even be blacklisted from the Music industry.The music industry is tough.And it’s difficult to make it into a career.Songwriters have to deal with competition . Money not being stable.And also dealing with difficult people in the industry.Boyz II Men will be remembered for a long time.Their music is being used as inspiration even right now.People their own age are making their children listen to Boyz II Men.They know how good their music was during does times.And even when they goo on tour there is still a young audience.
