Shamari DeVoe

Shamari DeVoe

She is born in Detroit but raised in Atlanta. Her interest when it comes to Music and performing continued from being in a talent show at the age of 13 years old. She then formed a girl group, a different one. Including with classmates Natina Reed. She was discovered by Lisa Lopes and this is someone that became successful in the Music industry. She was in a very successful group called TLC. Having someone like her to be Blaque’s mentor is really good and it helps out a lot. Someone that can help guide you is very important. Because this is when people want to take advantage of you.

She formed a group with Brandi and Natina. The group then made their first appearance in 1997. It was for Lil Kim’s Music video “Not Tonight.” Their debut album was released in 1999 and it sold more than 1.5 million copies. And it went certified platinum. Billboard then named the group 4th best new artist in 1999. It’s great that they were able to find success when it comes to their first album. And it did really well. Many people when they try to release their first album it doesn’t do as well. However, they were able to do really well. They even got their co-signed by Billboard.
And once you have that. That’s really good when it comes to it. When you look at the early 2000’s they basically had a machine when it comes to turning artists into success. They had a machine. Specific type of formula that worked out really well. That formula is lowkey business. That machine when it comes to coming from nowhere. And just blowing up. It’s just not happening as much. She was also portrayed as a Cheerleader on a movie called Bring It On. Being portrayed in a movie. And it becoming successful. It’s really good because it can really help your brand when it comes to it.
They released a couple of albums together. And then they basically went their separate ways. When it comes to being in a group, it can be really difficult and so. People like to go their own separate ways. And when it comes to going in their own separate ways. Some people used that time to discover more about themselves. And that can really help them out when it comes to their future. And that can be such an amazing opportunity. You can grow when it comes to your fanbase. And the fanbase means that you will have many different avenues of people watching you and that could be fashion, Music, Film.

Natina died in 2012; she was hit by a car. And when that happens. That can sometimes change the dynamic of the group for worse. Because they all came up together and the fact that one of the members isn’t here when it comes to them as a group. It can cause problems like, “We are not going to be the same.” And when you look at people like Michael Jackson. He was part of the Jackson 5 group. And after all these years. He is still being brought up when it comes to the public. People sometimes in the comment section they will comment that they are not the same.
Shamari still performs with Brandi and when it comes to tragedies like this. Your spirit can be let down. And you don’t want people to forget about the group. And that can sometimes happen. However, I will say that 90’s girl groups they are not as forgotten as others. They will be remembered more when it comes to the music that they made. Girl groups right now it’s really difficult because of people’s attention span. People can easily lose focus and they can focus on other things.

They joined the Real cast of Atlanta. Blaque were always trying to create their own reality TV show. And this can be good when it comes to having the viewers see what you have been up to.
She also then married Ronnie DeVoe from New Edition and that’s interesting she is also married to someone that is also in the Music industry. Sometimes they may even understand you more especially when it comes to what you have been through when it comes to being in groups. And that can help when it comes to bonding. There are some people who feel like when it comes to groups. It can get really complicated because of the politics behind it. And the investments that you have to put into. When it comes to turning it into a success.

When it comes to being a group like Blaque when you look at their music videos and the way that they were created. It was a very good video that turned them into success. And in 2013 she graduated from Georgia State University and graduated with a degree in sociology. Being in a group like this when it comes to going to college it can be hard at times. However, when you have a group that do really well when it comes to making sure that they attend school and balance that is honestly really rare and you don’t often see that happening.

Shamari when it comes to the music business she has been in it for a long time and she has seen everything when it comes to the evolution of technology. There are so many things that she could talk about when it comes to her experiences when it comes to being in a group like Blaque in the 90s. What people should look out for when it comes to being in groups. Because there are some people that would like to be in successful groups and they don’t have the opportunity. However, if it does, they should be sad when it comes to the truth.

When it comes to being in a group in 2025. Groups like Fifth Harmony became very successful and even One Direction. Blaque could have achieved a lot of success if they were not dropped. The fact that Columbia dropped them and it’s probably because they wanted them to sell more. The music industry sucks when it comes to its politics and it’s always being seen as a business first before anything. That can be really good when it comes to competition. However, the potential when it comes to other groups in a short amount of time sucks.
