She is born in Jamaica. And she is the youngest of 8 children. She lived in Jamaica until she was 6 years old. And then she moved to Queens New York. She has been performing since she was a child. And during the 80s performing and doing your own thing was really big. And when you look at the style of 80s acts had their own unique ways. She was molested when she was a child. And it was released in her book in 2008. In 1979 when she was just 15 years old. She was sent to live with her sister because the home that she was living in was caught on fire.

She became inspired by Rock music and she talked about AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. Sandra was working in a call centre and that’s where she met Cheryl James in the lunch room. They were also enrolled as Nursing students at Queensborough Community College. Sandra worked at Sears and that’s where Spinderella was also a DJ at that time. Latoya Hanson was actually the original DJ of the group. But before that the duo released a song called The Showstopper and it had quite a bit of success. That was in 1985. In 1986 Spinderella then became the official DJ. They released an album called Hot Cool and Vicious.

And that was released in 1986. The trio released 5 albums together Hot, Cool, and Vicious (1986), A Salt with a Deadly Pepa (1988), Blacks’ Magic (1990), Very Necessary (1993), and Brand New (1997), plus several greatest hits albums. And also the greatest hits albums. Salt-N-Pepa then went their own separate ways in 2002. And to be honest in comparison to other groups. They actually lasted a really long time. Cheryl James wanted to leave the Music industry. She has been doing music for a long time and some people need a break from it. And when it comes to your personal life it can sometimes even get in the way.

They went their own separate ways after releasing Brand New album. The trio then reunited for a VH1 performance VH1’s Hip Hop Honors. In 2005 Sandra was then a cast member The Surreal Life. Sandra got acting credits Joe’s Apartment. And she also made an appearance in a HBO Movie. She also was featured in The Surreal Life: Fame Games. Salt-N-Pepa performed in 2008. There were issues going on when it came to the business sides of their group when it came to Spinderella. So many issues can come in when it comes to being in a group. And the time that they started it was around the 80s. And the issues that they had was over unpaid royalties.

Sandra then teamed up with VH1 to be featured in a reality TV show called Salt-N-Pepa. This is something that groups from the 80s and 90s have done when it comes to where they are at now. After going their own separate ways. And this is good when it comes to supporters finding more about what happened. Because they only see the glitz and the glam they don’t see the behind the scenes. Sandra is also featured on a song with Jasmine Sullivan a song called Need U Bad. Sandra then released her biography called Let’s Talk About Pep.

The book was co-written by Karen Hunter and it talked in details about the group’s success and what they have gone through. There was an introduction with Queen Latifah. And also epilogue by Missy Elliott. In 2008 they also performed at the BET Hip Hop Awards. She also joined the Growing Up Hip Hop as a cast member. In January of 2016. She once dated and was engaged to Prince Markie Dee. And she also dated Will Smith. Sandra has been featured in various movies and doing reality TV show and being in a successful group.

Their music has become classics and people really enjoyed their music. She currently has 2 children and for Halloween Salt-N-Pepa were reunited again. It’s nice to see that after all these years they are still together and performing and they have been able to hash out their issues. When it comes to groups from the 80s. We feel like there were so many groups that came up at that time. And they had achieved a lot of success and did really well when it came to it. Their music has done well. There are so many good things that have happened when it comes to this group and they have been able to do good things.

Salt-N-Pepa have made a mark in the Music industry and they will never be forgotten songs like Push It are one of those songs. That you can hear everywhere and it’s really good when it comes to it. Their music will never be forgotten and they will always be making money from their songs. That’s something that other people don’t have. There isn’t a lot of groups that have achieved success that people will always remember them in our opinion when it comes to the new age. One Direction, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony are one of the few.

When it comes to doing Music Salt-N-Pepa could still be releasing music and people will still listen to it. They even have created a new audience for themselves. People are even discovering their old music. Because their old music is still doing really well when it came to it. They were discouraged from motherhood when it came to it. And that’s the reality when it comes to being in the Music industry. They feel like it can affect your chances when it comes to having your own career. Labels feel like you won’t be as marketable.

That’s why there are some people that delay motherhood. And they really had to plan when it comes to it. When you’re making good music people will always support you and Salt-N-Pepa were always putting on effort when it comes to their music and making sure that they were also doing really very well for themselves in that way. And people feel like it can slow down your career. Which it will. But you have to make sure that when it comes to having children balancing it can be really hard. And they have talked about having nannies and also curriculums. Career wise things can change.
