How One direction Music career evolved?
Niall , Zayn , Liam , Harry,Louis auditioned for the X factor in 2010 they were very young .When they first started auditioning .They were teenagers even .And being young . And auditioning in front of the whole entire world wasn’t easy.They failed to progress into the categories independently.They were put in a group. And Nicole scherzinger was the main person to put them in a group together.And it worked out very well.One direction finished third place.A lot of the most successful Artist actually didn’t even win the show.Which is interesting .The music business has so many layers to it.It could be easily taken away from you.
One direction signed a Million contract with Syco records. 2011/2012 . One direction released their first song what makes you beautiful.The time that they release this song in 2011.That was the year Instagram even launched.So it was mainly Facebook and Youtube.The song did very well it currently has 1 billion of views on Youtube.Gotta be you , One thing were the next .They signed a deal with columbia records.And they are a very big label company.So that was a big deal for them.Up all night was released in November.And the album became the best selling album.
2012 they performed What makes you beautiful at the olympics. One direction became successful.What made them very special?That they were able to find success on their first song.They also won many awards.2012/2013 .They released a single from their second album.Little things was released and it was also successful.Their music was successful consistently. because they made good that cater to their women based audience.And they did it very well.Their song was extremely replayable.It wasn’t one and done song.You could listen to it many time.February 2013 they went on a Take me home tour .The tour grossed 114 million.People clearly wanted to see them a lot in a short amount of time of their careers.
2013/2014 . Best song ever was their lead single from the album.It was released in 2013 .They went on tour and released music that year.Midnight memories was released and it did very well.2014 they went on tour and grossed 290 million the highest grossing tour in 2014.The tour was attented by 3.4 millions fans which is crazy.The height of One direction cannot be compared to a lot of people.And it started of being in a singing competition show.And they didn’t even win.But actually came third and they became very successful.Because the labels knew how to market them well.
2014/2015. One direction released a film. 2014 the also released a book called Who we are.These are 4 boys in a band that people may not know much about.And may want to get to know more.About who they are.Musicians don’t always like to talk about their lives.Because they feel like it’s not appropriate.4 was released as a 4 album . They also went on tour in 2015 and the tour grossed 208 million.2015/2017 . One direction released a statement saying that Zayn malik was leaving and that was shocking . It was a very controversial thing.A lot of teenage supporters were very upset.They felt like it wouldn’t be the same.And they were only together for 5 years.
Zayn malik went ahead first.And had a successful solo career.He admitted that on an interview that there was a lot of politics behind the scenes.And wanted to be the first person to leave the group.Because of course you will get a lot of attention when you do that.Harry styles didn’t see this coming .And was surprised that Zayn wasn’t happy being in a group.Nial admitted that they had a fall out when he left One direction.Which is normal especially when it comes to someone that your always with.And liam payne didn’t agree with his actions.
August 2015 they wanted to go on a hiatus to work on individual project which is very normal in this day in age.Their last time being televised together was in 31 December 2015.This wasn’t surprising because they were getting older.And had their goals and ambition that they wanted to do in the music industry.They were not teenagers anymore.And they were growing up becoming men.And some people know that when people are growing in the music industry.They are not going to stay the same. And people grew up with one direction .From the x factor and saw their growth.
After Zayn malik it seemed like it was difficult for them to stay together.One direction has had an incredible run in the music industry.And these men were just everyday men chasing a dream.And they were able to make it a success. They are an example of a successful group that even after coming third in a singing competition.You can still have a career in music.And still be successful.One direction hasn’t done that many features because genuinely they don’t really need to they can stand on their own.And they are some groups that have extreme supporters to the point that they will support them.
One direction always had the best choruses .They always knew how to make a good song which is missing nowadays.Making a good chorus that doesn’t have too much social media influence is underrated.It makes you want to dance.Harry styles has won Grammy’s which is amazing.The one other memebers have been successful on Youtube to and breaking records such Louis , liam etcc.There has some rumours about One direction reuniting that would be amazing for their fans that have seen them grow up.People have seen the group become throughout it’s ups and down.A reunion could be good especially because they haven’t been together in a long time.
Some of the members have become fathers.Which is interesting because they were teenagers when we first saw them.And now they are practically fathers Zayn Liam Louis . They were in the spotlight from a young age.The pressure that comes with it can be a lot . Being in a group is not always easy.It’s very hard. In 2024 there aren’t many new successful boy groups right now that are doing very well.Could it be that we are in different times.Different times that doesn’t appreciate groups.They may not care as much for now.There will be a switch coming soon in the next few years.
