Her mother is a Black American from North Carolina, and her father is from the Virgin Islands. She was born in New Jersey. Her musical talent started at the age of 5. Where she joined the church choir. Whitney Houston even performed at her church. She continued with her musical creativity, going to an arts school. She was performing at various events and getting her name out there and stuff and everything. In 1999, at the age of 15 years old. She joined the 3LW group with Adrienne Bailon and also Kiely Williams. She was very young when she joined a successful R&B group. Their first song is released in the year 2000.
And the song is called No More Baby, I’m Gonna Do It Right. No More was such a success. The music video is on YouTube, and it’s really good. Naturi has such a great voice; it really complemented everyone else. And you always hear it stand out. Their first song became a success. It’s amazing. Not everyone can accomplish this. It’s really hard. And you have to make sure that you know what you’re doing when it comes to releasing music. But the type of song and vibe that they released made sense. And that’s why they became successful when it comes to their voice. And that’s why it really made sense when it came to it.

So they went their own separate ways. She reunited with Adriene on The Real.
Naturi recorded 5 songs for the Fame soundtrack. And she got her first ever chart in 2009 with the songs that she recorded for the movies. She also released an EP that was released in the year 2010. In 2010 she was also featured in the Monique show. She said that she wanted to release a full album when it came to it. But then she went on a different route and pursued acting, which is completely different. And it’s something that you need to go to auditions and do really well in. Impress producers. And Naturi is known as a singer in 3LW. So she really had to prove herself that she can act.
There was a duet that was leaked on the Internet with Lil Kim. However, it never got released. In 2008 she was cast to be featured as Lil Kim in the Notorious Big movie. And the movie made 43 million worldwide. With a budget of 20 million. So it was clearly a successful movie that did really well. And that was her first-ever movie. After everything that she went through. So it was really good that it went really well for her when it comes to it. And people had the chance to see Naturi in a different light, and she made such a good debut when it comes to it.
Lil Kim didn’t like the movie that much. And said she wouldn’t choose her. When it comes to movies and biopics. Some people don’t always like their portrayal because they feel like it isn’t accurate. However , Naturi did well in the movie and deserves praise for it. She was featured in another movie called Fame, and it did really well; it sold over 42 million worldwide. So back-to-back she was having careers that were doing really well for her.

And she welcomed her first child in 2017
And her second in 2023. She has been married since. She has become a successful actress and singer. She has been able to do what other people dream of doing.But they cannot do it because of many other reasons . And she did really well. There is a lot that she was able to accomplish in such a small amount of time, and that is amazing for her when it comes to it. Even after what she went through, she was still able to have a career in the music industry and do really well. And that’s good that she didn’t give up or allow that situation to break her.
