Kendrick Lamar parents are Black americans from the South side of Chicago.Kendrick parents relocated to Compton in 1984.Kendrick heard a recording of his rap voice.And decided to pursue a Rap career.People don’t realise how Important it is to have a good Rap voice.They are so many rappers that can write.However , they don’t have that voice a good example Glorilla along with her accent it flows very well.Kendrick was studying how to write lyrics being introduced to poetry.And even rhymes, metaphors and double entendres,Kendrick lamar graduated High school in 2006.When Kendrick was in High school he began freestyling and battle rapping.
The performances caught the attention of Dave free.After he started recording Music with Kendrick.Dave free was basically his hype man.The person that believed in him first.It’s always important to have someone that believes in you .It will make it easier to succeed.Kendrick Lamar recoded 5 mixtapes in the early 2000. His first mixtape Youngest Head Nigga in Charge (Hub City Threat: Minor of the Year).Dave fee introduced Kendrick mixtape to Anthony “Top Dawg”. Impressed enrolled Kendrick in a audition for his new label.And in 2005 He was offered a contract.2006 Kendrick signed an Artist development deal wth Def Jam.
Kendrick released 2 mixtapes in 2007 Training Day, and a collaborative mixtape with Jay Rock titled No Sleep ’til NYC.Kendrick third mixtape C4 was released in 2009 a tribute to Lil wayne album.Kendrick got a Music publishing deal with Warner Music and released his 4 Mixtape called Overly dedicated.Kendrick Lamar released an Album called Section 80 released on July 2 2011.The album was nominated for a Bet Hip hop award.And one thing.If it gets nominated for a Bet award.It means that you doing something right.because the connections that you can get through there can be life changing.And you don’t have to hustle as Much to get your name out there.
Kendrick opened for Drake for his Club Paradise tour.He also began working for J cole.Kendrick second album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.This album in our opinion put him on the Map.A lot of people that didn’t know him begun listening to him.Because they didn’t know who he was.Kendrick lamar earned 7 Grammy nomination.And that was his first ever Grammy nominations.And he gets seven in one go.After all the work in the early 2000.It finally paid off in 2014.This just showes that having a succesfful career in the Music industry.Can take a long time for some people.
Macklemore won Best new Artst and Best Rap album.And that was conteoversial because people felt like it should have gone to Kendrick Lamar.This affected Macklemore career.People didn’t really respect him after that.Something that he couldn’t control.Kendrick lamar third album was released Mach 15 2015.Kendrick Lamar collaborated on a song with Taylor swift called Bad Blood it curently has billion of views.This got him his first number 1 single.Kendrick was also featured on a song with Beyonce called Freedom.And also Maroon 5 , The weekend , Travis scott.Kendrick lamar was clearly not stopping with the features.And it was helping him out a lot in his career.
March 30 2017 released a song called Humble.The song is actually quite iconic when it comes to the Music videos and the lyrics that he was saying on the song.Some people would even say that it’s an empowering song.His 4 album Damn did extremely well.His 14 song featured on the album were top 100.Every song was a hit.And that very rare when it comes to Rap album.Evey single song doesn’t always do very well.What was different about Kendrick.Was it because he studies songwriting and took it seriously when he was a Teenager.And it has benefitted him as an Adult.It could be.But you can tell that Kendrick lamar takes his Art seriously.
Kendrick lamar went on Tour for his Damn album and it made 62.7 million. For a hip hop Tour he made history.It’s very difficult to get fans to support you.Let alone for them to buy a ticket to come and see you live perform.Kendrick Lamar executive produced for the Black Phanter soundtrack album.The movie was huge success and it was the talk of the town.For Kendrick Lamar to get this opportunty it’s very good.Kendrick won 5 Grammy awards in 2018.Kendrick Lamar featured on a song called Family ties.February 2022 he headlined the Superbowl with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, and Mary J. Blige .
Kendrick Lamar 5 album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers released on the 13 of May 2022.In the cover of the album you can see that Kendrick featured his Daughter and son too.He hasn’t been showing his children to the world like that.That the thing with Kendrick he is more private with that.Kendrick went on the Big steppers tour and it made 110 million why was Kendrick lamar very successful when it comes to doing a tour.Kendrick was also featured on a song with Beyonce called America has Problem.Kendrick made an apperance on a song with Future called Like that.
He went back and forth with Drake . songs like “Euphoria”, “6:16 in LA”, “Meet the Grahams”,and “Not Like Us”.This beef was not expected especially in 2024.However , the rap supporters were excited to see these 2 people going at it.Because some people have been saying that Hip hop is getting boring.Because a lot of these new Rappers sound the same.Rap Music isn’t like before.Drake is a big artist this is not the first time he has gone back and forth with other Artist.However , Kendrick lamar is respected a lot when it comes to his lyrics.There are people who feel like he puts a lot of effort when it comes to his Music.
Kendrick attacked Drake for so many things . Kendrick career has been interesting.It’s almost like he likes to do things that people are not expecting him to do.It made himself as an Artist stand out .Because then people will be excited to listen to him.He has made a name for himself in the Hip Hop world.He will continue dominating because he takes his craft seiously.And isn’t looking for a viral song.It could be the era that he grew up that made him probably stay in that lane specifically.It makes a lot of sense because of the type of Music that he makes.
