The 90s was full of Girl band and Boy bands. Furthermore, the industry was fully invested in creating boy bands and Girls bands. At that time, they were very good when it comes to marketing . young people were listening to music a lot . The chances of creating a Boy band or a Girl band successful was high because they were mainly using the younger ones. When you google most of the 90s bands, they had a certain look for them and voices that blended together. Music at that time was focusing on voices if the members could sing. Making sure that they had great melodies attitudes look. When you listen to many of these groups.

They all had a signature sound that made them unique and want to listen to them. It made them stand out. That why you will see rapper selecting certain groups that will sing their choruses. Music was the main focused during the 90s. The industry made sure that the groups had artist development instead of jumping to fame . There was a process especially cause many of the groups had a dance routine , melody routine ,singing routine.

That strategy worked when it comes to artist development because people were not rushing to be famous. There was an actual love for music. During the 90s there was no social media people would consume on tv or in magazines or the radio. The little access to the social lives. Made people more focused on the musicians craft. The consumptions of radio  magazines was more popular at that time. The radio could sometimes be the first time . A listener has heard of a musicians they like .Nowadays Tik Tok could be the first time they hear of a song. There are musicians who feel like t’s good for branding. There are influencers that may use certain songs. And it can blow up.

The late 90s you started seeing musicians taking part in singing competition examples Aaliyah , Christina Aguilera , Britney spears , Justin Timberlake, Destiny’s child. The fame however , when they drop a single that did well in the chart. Most of these musicians found fame when the public heard a song that they liked. Going on singing competition and becoming successful started during 2005 – 2010 – 2011 . Groups like One direction and Little mix became popular though X factor . Their supporters were also tuning in to watch their favorite artist win an award. Award shows nowadays has lost a bit of spark. The excitement that people had let say 10 20 years ago is not there anymore. A lot of people do not watch tv anymore streaming platforms have taken over . so if they do watch an award shows they watch the commentary.

Disney actors

Miley Cyrus got her fame from Hannah Montana it put her on the map. Demi Lovato was in a movie called Camp rock. These 3 became great musicians. Having that foundation from being in Disney. It gave them opportunity . Ariana Grande was in nickelodeon show  . That also help her become a successful musician . Now in 2023 we have transition to YouTube Tik Tok. These 2 platforms give musicians to show case their talent . Many people will post their music or singing on there and sometimes. When Twitter users find your tik Tok. They will post it on their page and it might get some attention. For example there is a new  British girl group called FLO a lot of their attention came from Twitter and Tik . In 2023 these platforms are helping these groups get an opportunity. Listeners have also divested their time to Spotify. They discover new upcoming young people from Tik Tok Twitter  .

Conclusion

The music of today has evolved in people becoming famous over night which is a very big risk. The chances of them having longevity in this business is very slim. That why sometimes you don’t hear from them ever again. The quick rise to fame has it’s price. Everybody loves you etcc. However , there are some people that may not be able to handle it especially if they come from humble beginning. There are some who use it just to promote their music or business . They don’t want people in their personal life. It showed case her musical process that many people don’t know .It gave an opportunity for people who may want to be a musician to see the process of making the song.
