Lorde was born to a Croatian mother and a Irish father.She is born in New zealand.Lorde mother was encouraging Lorde when it comes to reading different range of Genres.For a songwriter when you read different books of Genre.It can eally help expand your vocabulary and even your mind when it comes to songwriting.Not reading many books as a writer could mean that your mind just thinks in one way.In 2009 she and her friend won a talent show.And at that time she was would be 12/13 years old.Her Musician partner father then sent their recording to UMG Records.Then Lorde was signed.
2010 Lorde and her friend Ella they were performing covers everywhere to get their name out there more.Local avenues and even cafes.Youtube was only around 5 years old. at that time Instagram didn’t even exist and Tik tok snapchat didnt exist.Facebook and Twitter were just starting to get more and more popular.People were still using the traditional way to discover someone.It wasn’t until Justin bieber that people began using Platforms like Youtube and Soundcloud to get themselves out there more.2011 Lorde started to get singing lessons.And then at that time she began to wite songs.She performed her original songs at a theathre in in November of 2011 and she was 15 years old by then.
December of that yearof 2011 . Lorde was working with Joel little.And they recorded five songs.And after that Lorde left school . To seriously pursue her Music career.November of 2012 at the age of 16 years old she released her own EP.UMG released her EP as a professional artist. It was number 2 in Australia and in New zealand.Royals the song from the EP made her very popualr.It actually put Lorde on the map.And that when people began to know who she really is.Her song Royals was everywhere.People really loved the song
The way that the song it’s written.The style of lyrics it’s not surprising that it became successful.it was a lot more different then the other Pop songs that were coming out around 2012.The song actually won 2 grammy awards and she was around 16/17 years old.She was basically still a child and she has already won 2 grammy’s for just that one song.Lorde first Album Pure heroine was released in 2013 Royals was even featured in it. By may 2017 .The album had sold 4 million copies.Tennis court Team , Glory and core were also successful.November 2013 she signed a publishing deal with Songs Music publishing.
Lorde was featured on a soundtrack film called The Hunger games catching fire.This is a good opportunity for Lorde because that movie was huge global success when it comes to Movies being made that people still talk about decades later.It would definitely be Hunger games.People really like it.When it coes to soundtrack films it’s always good to feature with classic movies.And not with movies that just come and go.After this Lorde was performing at festivals like any other successful artist would do . And even winning awards like Golden globe that she earned a nomination in 2015.Lorde was still living in New zealand and she moved to a different city in New zealand.
The fact that Lorde is a New zealand artist is interesting.Because you don’t always hear about Artist blowing up from that country in America.Is the world changing when it comes to people from all over the word that don’t even live in the United states find success here in America.The lead single from her second album greenlight was released . The song is a very story telling song when you actually listen to it.You can picture the things that she is saying on the song.The album was released June of 2017.
Lorde on this album collaborated with Artist like Sza and Khalid and Post malone.Lorde then went on a International concert tour.Lorde as of now has released an EP called Te Ao Mārama .Lorde has clearly taken a break when it comes to releasing Music.And could it be because of how old she was when she started releasing Music.She became successful when she was still a teeen child becaus she wasn’t an adult yet.Which is practically 18 years old.She was still finding herself.And now at almost 28 years old.She might want to take a shift when it comes to releasing Music.And create a whole new sound.
Lorde is not someone that is very active on Social media.And she is still very much successful.That just shows that when you enter the entertainement industry.You don’t have to put your face out there all the time.You can keep yourself out of social media.And just focus on the Music part.Which makes more sense because social media even though it can really help when it comes to the reach.It can really be damaging because when you have a following you have to be very careful with what you post.Some people can take it the wrong way.There was a time that Lorde post a picture of herself in a bath and she quoted it with a whitney houston lyric.
And some people took that very wrong .Because of the way that Whitney houston died.On her social media she has posted 1 picture which she released June 4 of 2024.And some people spectulate that she is releasing a new album which could be very possible.She hasn’t released any album in a very long time.Which means that Lorde could be cooking something for her supporterts.And this would be her 4 album.Is lorde someone that want to other things like Acting , starting her own line of products.
In our own opinion we would say no.We feel like she wants to focus her whole energy on Music because that where that she fits in.Some people just want to focus on one thing because that is their passion.And some people want to open up themselves to so many different things.To make themselves more known.Lorde music was in an era were award shows were a lot more populr.Us at valenzio.com we remember watching her at the Vmas awards.Fast forward now awards show have a low viewership.What makes people not want to watch it anymore?.Is it because there is a lack of stars.The music has not meaningful feeling that will make you want to listen to it over and over.
