She is named after Farrah Fawcett. By her grandmother as an inspiration. Lawrence Bohanon raised her and she has never met her biological father. She is Black American and Italian. And she is the oldest of 18 children. And she has a younger sister named Karrie. She is also the cousin of the late rapper Natina Reed. This is someone that already has family members in the Music industry. When you have family members that are in the Music industry. Some people might feel like it’s easier to get in. Because you have someone that is famous. Farrah also grew up in Church. She started singing when she was just 2 years old.

She was inspired by Bohanon. When she was just 8 years old she then performed at a concert choir in Central high school. She faced bullying over there. At 15 she decided to pursue a career in Entertainment. Originally she went by the name Destiny Franklin. In 1999 she was living in Los Angeles. And she was hired as an extra for Destiny’s Child Bills, Bills, Bills. At this time she met Beyonce, Kelly, Latavia, Letoya, Michelle. She was actually in a singing group called Jane Doe. However, they were on the verge to go their separate ways. In January of 2000. Matthew then invited Farrah and Michelle to join Destiny’s Child. Because Latavia, Letoya were being replaced.

They were introduced to Destiny’s Child supporters in the Say My Name video. The previous members didn’t even realize that they were being replaced. And they saw the Music video on TV. And Farrah also appeared in Jumpin’, Jumpin’. She contributed to Destiny’s Child vocals like Jumpin’, Jumpin'” (Remixes), “Upside Down” (Live at VH1 Divas), and “Dot”. Also a few songs on the Destiny’s Child Survivor. Independent Women and Departure With Me were released after her departure. On July 20 2000 after 6 months in the group Farrah left the group. A day later Beyonce talked about what happened.

When it comes to her not having interest in the groups and also missing 3 promotional dates. But then Farrah came and said that she wasn’t feeling well. And she suffered from dehydration and a stomach virus. But she was actually recovering. And that the Business of the Music industry. There are people who get really sick and they still have to commit. That’s why many people when it comes to the Music business. They wouldn’t want to do it. because they feel like it’s just too much work when it comes to it. Missing out on shows because they are sick could affect their brand. She said that she was verbally attacked because she wasn’t showing up.

After leaving Destiny’s Child. Farrah then went on a solo career. Which it’s an interesting move. Doing your own thing when it comes to being in a very successful group can be very daunting. And you need to make sure that you have a lot of confidence in yourself. Because certain things could go wrong. Farrah’s situation is interesting because she was a part of a group that was already successful and original members like Latavia and Letoya planted the seed. And she came in. Some people may say that she blew an opportunity. And that can be true. However, being in a group it’s not for everyone. And not everybody can handle it. And that is the truth when it comes to it.

She was actually signed by Nelly’s label called Fo’reel. Where she recorded a song called Get At Me with Method Man. She was also signed to Fabolous’ label. And she was also dropped again. She was signed to that label for 2 years before being dropped in 2005. Before joining Destiny’s Child she was featured in a movie called Trippin. And also another one The Brewster Project. And in 2006 she was cast in an episode called All of Us. She also was featured in an independent movie called Eyes of Darkness. And another one Single Black Female.

She also modelled for a fashion line called Def Jam University. And she was also featured on covers like Teen People, Ebony, CosmoGirl, Vibe, and Today’s Black Woman. Being in Destiny’s Child was clearly beneficial. And this kind of shows the power that it has when it comes to being in a successful group like that. She has also cameoed in Kurupt, Nelly, Mr. Cheeks, and R. L. Huggar. People could clearly see that she was still in the spotlight doing things. And she could expand herself when it comes to different creative avenues and it worked out well for her. Because she was able to do other things aside from Music.

Acting fashion modelling. And then she was doing a reality TV show. Boulevard of Broken Dreams. She talked about her experiences when it comes to being in Destiny’s Child. There were reality TV shows that were coming up in the early 2000’s when it comes to experiences when it comes to girl groups. And how it was for them. This gave an opportunity when it comes to artists to know more about what happened and how it was. Because during the 90s if you didn’t watch TV or magazines you didn’t really know what was going on. And not everyone understood what was happening when it comes to being in groups like this.

Viewers got to see more of people that they couldn’t before. She then released a song called Lollipop in 2008. Farrah then joined a new girl group called Pheenx and it included members like Bethany Grant, Queen, and herself. The group then released 2 songs called Post Boy” and “Sharpshooter” before Grant. The lead singer of the group was dismissed because of controversy. The group after that they went their own separate ways. There is a lot to learn when it comes to Farrah and that her persistence. You see how she just joined another girl group. She keeps going and moving forward.

In 2014 Farrah moved from Los Angeles to Atlanta in order to start a career in the Entertainment business. She released a song called Magic and Makeup. She then released a song called Over. And then she released another song called Billion Dollar Fantasy. She also collaborated with Lucky Harmon. On the song called Build Me Up. She owns a company called One Love Pictures and Entertainment. In June 2020 she released a song called Push Up On Me and it was featured the rapper Maino. The last film she was featured in is called Rated ATL and it was released in 2016. When you look at Farrah’s career a lot has happened.
