Both have shaped the media most don’t buy newspapers and magazines. The reason why is because they can go on twitter to get the news why spend money . When you can download an app and have free access to it. Things have change so it impacts award shows . Furthermore, many say there is lack of talent when it comes to these new musicians .
The days of Michael Jackson , Whitney Houston have passed and gen z isn’t excited to see any of their favorites get an award. There are great artists out there many young people want to be musicians and with that comes with anyone believing they could do it . Before you needed to have a skill to be a writer know everyone want to be one and that can cause lack of talent. There are people who want to be in the music business because of money. They may have no talent but they know how to market themselves . Which many young people believe that other artists have great marketing skills.
As a musician you should know how to market yourself it helps bring a lot of attention . For example Beyonce and Jayz are a power couple and have made songs together about love which is great marketing because that what they are known to the public. Beyonce Album detailed a lot about their relationship with cheating etc. Beyonce has been in the for more than 2 decades and when it comes to award shows .
People are always going to be eager to see her because of who she is. Moreover, artists are becoming popular though Tik Tok which is causing problems they make music for a young Tik Tok crowd which most people may loose interest in . Many of these old school musicians because popular because of their album for example Beyonce Album. People became popular of one song and they cant keep up .
The relevancy of some of these artists in the next 20 30 years will be interesting technology is advancing . Many of these young people want to be independent so they are going to have to figure out how to do it. Gen z also feel when it comes to the effort of music and the overall music video is also dying . They should have the fans opinion on their favorites and ask them what it did for them that can really determine the value of the song or album . Award shows need to focus more on albums than a song that can easily die out and no one cares.
