He is born to a Nigerian father Yoruba and a Black american mother.And he moved to houston at the age of 4 years old.Secular music wasn’t enouraged in his home.And it could be because of how young he is .Or maybe they don’t like it in general.He was inspireed by Rappers like Geto Boys, 8 Ball & MJG, and UGK and other national acts such as N.W.A and Public Enemy.Him and his childhood friend Paul wall decided to start making music as a career.paul and Chammi met with a dj who they convinced to freestyle for him to showcase their talent.He liked their verses and he included their verses on his mixtape.
Paul and Chammi then decided to start their own group.The Color Changin’ Click.The year 2002 they did a collaboration together Get Ya Mind Correct.It sold around 150 thousand copies and for their first proper project it’s not bad.They were just starting to warm up themselves.The source nominated the album in 2002.Early 2000’s there was so mcuh competition .So many rappers that were coming along.Nelly , Jayz , Eminem , Dmx they were all competing for that number 1 spot.So the attention to achieve was extremely hard.Unless you had a good management nobody will bother to even give you a listen.
