Blaque

Blaque

In 1994 Shamari formed her own group with rotation members. And Natina Reed is also included. They soon then met a producer and they were looking for an urban country act. The 4 was actually called Buutz. Natina then left after a year because her Father didn’t agree with her doing secular music. After Natina temporarily left, Natina then named as a replacement called Intrigue. They were doing acting and Signing classes. They were doing everything that they could when it comes to preparing themselves for the Entertainment business. In 1995 12 year old Brandi was added to the group.

Natina then pursued the music and she met up with Talent scout Ronald Lopes the brother of Lisa Lopes. Natina was then hired as a writer for TLC. Blaque was then formed in 1996. Left Eye then began mentoring the group. It’s good that the group had support like this because it’s definitely something that they needed when it comes to having support. Left Eye then arranged an audition for them with Sony music Tommy Mottola. Who offered them a deal with Columbia records. This is good because it can help out when it comes to opportunity. Columbia records then set up recording sessions for the group. And they made a cameo for Lil Kim Not Tonight remix.

Their debut album was then released and it debuted at number 1. The lead single 808 became such a big success. I Do was not as successful. And was nominated for an award. And in 1999 the group toured with NSYNC. Blaque also performed as an opening act for TLC. They were doing everything that they can when it comes to expanding their brand. And that everything goes smooth for them. And that really good. When it comes to making sure that things go well. And you are able to market yourself to a different audience. In 2000 the group appeared in Bring It On. The group was featured as cheerleaders. And the movie became a big hit when it comes to it.

A remix version of Bring It All To Me appeared in the film. And 50 Cent rapped to it. When you look at how their careers was going. Everything was clearly working out for her. And doing really well. And there were so many things that the group could have even done. Could even be featured in more Musical movies. Their album went platinum. And their second album was then released in 2001. However, at this point the group was then dropped by Columbia records. When it comes to record labels. There are so many things that could happen. And even though Blaque was doing well. It still wasn’t enough when it comes to labels.

The video of the song Can’t Get It Back was never released. The album was actually leaked on the Internet. Lisa Lopes then died in a car accident. And that was unfortunate because this is someone that gave them a headstart when it comes to being in a group and made them successful. The group then signed with Elektra records. After Natina gave birth to her son. They then began working on their album. The third album was then released on iTunes. They were working on their own solo album. In 2005 they came together to record their album called Private Show.

They worked on the album from 2005 to 2009. At this time they were supposed to released a reality TV show that they were working on. It was supposed to air in 2008. However, it wasn’t picked on. And that is strange because a lot of people would want to know what happened to the girl groups from the 90s and what happened to their career. Because on TV and Magazines even though you can have an idea. You can get a full on picture when there is a reality TV show. Blaque then released 4 songs “Cut You Off”, “All Nighter”, “Blue Jeans” and “High Definition”. After that they went their own separate ways.

Many people can go on their separate ways for different reasons. Blaque then reunited for a festival called Left Eye music festival. This was good for people who really loved the group to see them again together. People like group reunions because it takes them back to a time. And it can be really good when it comes to it. There is a lot about groups that people miss from the 90s and that is the authenticity when it comes to the groups. At this time they were actually working on an album and also a reality TV show. And just as things were beginning to get better. Natina was hit by a car and died.

The album that they released featured Missy Elliott. They released Torch in 2019. Sudden deaths like that can sometimes change group dynamics. And that is a very serious thing when it comes to it. They can make other people feel like they will never be the same. And when you look at people like Michael Jackson. People sometimes feel like Jackson 5 is not completed without Michael. And Natina was also part of successful groups. It’s sad when you look at the way that things turn out. They made cameo in a movie called Honey 2003. They also had songs chart from 1999 to 2004.

Their first album also sold more than 1 million copies. Left Eye before she even died she did a lot. And sometimes people like her what she would have done. And also with the group. They would probably be opening up for TLC. And that is something that we could see them doing together. It would be really interesting when it comes to seeing them work together. Would they release music together? Yes they might even will. And we could hear magic from them. The time that they started their careers people like Destiny’s Child were on top. Releasing hits song back to back and they were always on the billboard charts and also winning awards.

People often compare Blaque music videos and when you look at their music that they made. Is mainly pop music. Their music wasn’t the same. But because these were 2 Black American groups. They always felt like they had to compare when it comes to it. And the music industry is quite a messy place. People like to pit women against each other. And that can cause beefs. Some people even say when it comes to Nicki and Cardi B the fans are the ones that made it worse when it comes to it. There are so many things that could happen when it comes to fans being messy and they could make it worse.
