Jaheim

He is currently 46 years old and he was signed to Naughty by Nature’s Kaygee to Divine Mill. And he released his debut album called Ghetto Love in 2001. During those times, people would sign to labels and they would make sure that by releasing their own labels they would have a hit song. And that worked out really well when it comes to making sure that you’re always releasing good music back to back. The time that he signed there were so many people that were doing R&B: Usher, Aaliyah, Brandy, Monica. And many more as well. The time that he released his first album there were people that were mixing up R&B and Hip hop.

His second album was released in 2002 and it’s called Still Ghetto. And it has hit songs like “Put That Woman First” (2003) and “Fabulous” (2003). It’s interesting to see what type of power record labels can have when it comes to pushing your music. And it achieved platinum success. It’s great that he was able to achieve that and it only took 1 more album. It seemed like people who were signed they would release albums. And they would become successful when it comes to it. However, when it comes to deals you don’t know what type of deal that they have when it comes to it.

Ghetto Classics was his third album. And it debuted at number 1. One thing about the early 2000’s artists they were able to become mainstream and have their own successes just for them. That’s something that is hard. Having your own mainstream success and just for you without any viral song around. That was the magic that they had when it comes to it. And the album sold over 150,000 records when it comes to it. That’s really good for someone who is coming up and making a name for themselves when it comes to it.

4 years after he recorded a tape. He got a deal with Divine Mill Records (a division of Warner Bros. Records). When it comes to being signed, this shows it’s not easy when it comes to getting a deal. And many people wanted it. Because they know that when it comes to being signed to a good label. There are so many things that you could do when it comes to it. “Could It Be” and also “Lil Nigga Ain’t Mine” had good reactions when it was shown on BET. BET was such a popular network when it comes to it. BET used to show videos. And people would watch these videos.
These videos would make people be hooked on these videos. Because these were basically the social media. You would want to watch these networks because they had all this content. And now you’re seeing a difference when it comes to YouTube having all of the content.

So that means that now you will be watching all of the content when it comes to BET on YouTube. And in our opinion BET lost the power that they once had before. And he was featured in the Billboard charts and doing really well when it comes to it. And in 2007 he signed to Atlantic Records and released his 4th album called The Makings of a Man.
“Ain’t Leaving You” was released in 2009. And his album Another Round was released. At this point technology was becoming more and more popular and there were more differences coming up compared to when he started. There was a rise of Hip Hop especially when it comes to women with Nicki Minaj. And Katy Perry was coming up as well. He took a break from the Music industry. And in 2013 he released a song called “Age Ain’t a Factor”. And a new album. Sometimes when you release material after a long time it can be difficult to get that support. Because they could look elsewhere.
His 6th album was released in September of 2013, Appreciation Day. And he also started his own label called “Julie’s Dream Music Group” it was actually started in 1997. And then it was restarted in 2002. You see when you read this article it started off with him being signed and then now he has started his label. That’s something that you see when it comes to the Music industry. Many of the early 2000’s couldn’t just start their own label. Some people like Jay-Z and Dame Dash did their own things and were able to turn it into a success. However, not everyone can do that when it comes to it.
And also when it comes to creating your own label. There is power when it comes to doing your own thing. It’s way more empowering and you can have control when it comes to everything. And that’s probably why many people are more attracted to that when it comes to it. Social media has made it easy when it comes to being independent. However, managing yourself when it comes to doing your own thing, it’s really hard and you have to fund everything and not everyone can do that when it comes to it. But in 2015 he signed a new deal with BMG Records.
And he left Atlantic Records. And in 2015 he released a song called “Back in My Arms”. Struggle Love was released in 2016. Jaheim has sold 5 million records. And he has achieved 3 Grammy nominations. When it comes to Jaheim he has that soulful R&B sound that many people would like to hear. Many people feel like when it comes to R&B, there are too many genres that have been mixed with it. And we agree with that statement. Too many genres are just mixing themselves with it. And it has diluted the sound. “Put That Woman First” has pure vocals and you can really hear his voice.

It doesn’t have over 100 million views for nothing. There has been even talks about what happened to R&B groups when it comes to it. Is there a market when it comes to R&B groups? The types of voices that are coming out nowadays are just really different. And there are so many different things. Do people even care, because people’s attention span goes away very quickly. There is so much work that you would have to do. There is a lot that you would have to prove to yourself that you’re a worthy artist to support, it’s just so much.
