The group started while they were attending high school.The original group consisted of they were singing together Daron Jones, Michael Keith and Reginald Finley.Whiles jones and Keith were singing in Middle school and Finley was in high school.Once they were in High school.They met school mate Aldon while he was still working at mcdonalds in Atlanta.And they added him because of his deep bass voice.They met vocalist Marvin Scandrick who was singing with them in a school chorus.The group was performing at talent shows and also chruches and in school us well.They were basically everywhere to get their name out there more.

Tum and Bob located them and gave them a chance.They started developing them from the living room to the studion in hopes that they willbe signed.Kevin was able to secure an audition for them.And they performed for Combs.They also did audioned for Faith evans , Chucky thompson.At this time they were living in New york city.And recorded their album 112.Released 1996.The album went double platinum .It was cleary received well .And for their first album that is quite impressive.The album was produced by Tim and Bob .Songs like Only you did very well.They were an opening act for Isley brothers

They also toured with Whitney houston and Janet jackson.Singles that were released udirng the late 90s did very well.I”be missing you did very welll and it even won  a Grammy.Winning a Grammy during the late 90s meant something more then now.There is a huge difference.A very big difference when it comes to  now.In 2025 when it comes to winning a grammy.It has become dilluted because of the era of the Music industry that you feel in.Right now there isn’t a lot music that will last.So the time that they wrre making msuic it meant more then it is now.

Because of how competitive is .Their second album Room 112 did very well.The album went ceitified gold.Can a R&B group become this successful.At this time probably ot.Because some people argue that they don’t really care about groups.Many people are not even going on tour.Because some people may not care about that.When it comes to groups there are some groups out there.However , they don’t last as long as it used to.They are so easy when it comes to becoming forgotten no one will even remenber them.People will be forgotten.And that really bad .Because then your wasting money when it comes to investing in them.

They also went on tou with Whitney houston . You know how amazing that is to have such an opportunity many people won’t be able to perform with Whitney houstin.The people who ebcame successful during the time of Michael jackson and Whitney .They are very lucky.Because they were able to get these opportunites if they were doing very well.The also released their third album in 2001.The group left bad boy records.Qhen it comes to signing to a label . Your not always going to be in the same place forever.Sometimes you move especially if your trying to grow more in your career.

Hot and wet was another song that is released.Pleasure and plain was released in 2005.It went platinum.At this time Hip hop was dominating  a lot.You could hear so many different songs charting that wa smainly Hip  hop and R&b was still popular however it was evolving.And some of the audience wanted to hear something new .Some of the R&B women from the late 90s took a break and was trying to found their sound.They formed their own label which is not a bad thing.It can really help when it comes to gettting yourself out there more and finally ebing able to make you own decisions.

They have done very well for themselves .They peaked during the late 90s and early 2000s.The time that they became successful was in a very different time.The time you had to really make sure that you had something gong on for yourself . Too many groups are being left for nothing.Especially nowadays.Being in a group can be challenging and if your not making sure that your beign unique.You may not become successfula nd you will be forgotten.Bcease people want to make sure that they are not forgotten.Groyps need a rebrnads .The next groups in the enxt 20 years.Has to be done in a way that is very good.And making sure that you can do extremely well.Extremely well when it comes tothe different ways of living.Learning instrument  , singing and other things on top of that. You ahve to make sure that you really want this and your not just doing whatevrr that you like
