La reid saw potential when it came to Watkins and lopes .Which is crazy because of Crystal jones came up with the group concept.It was basically her idea that they found success in. However , there were problems behind the scenes when it came to the contracts that they were going to sign.Crystal jones wanted to review properly with a lawyer and also her mum she wanted her involved in it.Crystal jones then departed from the group.February 28 1991 Lopes and Watkins signed a production management and publishing deal.At that time they were looking for replacement for Jones.They made their first recorded appearance on Damian dame Ep.
Chilli then became the third member of the group.The became vocalist for Jermaine jackson song called Rebel on his album released in 1991 called You said. Their first album Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip was released in February of 1992.There was a blend of Funk R&B and Hip hop.The album became successful. What about your friends , Ain’t 2 prooud 2 Beg.TLC recorded a song called Sleigh ride the song appeared on the soundtrack film Home alone 2 Lost in New york in 1992.1993 they did a cover of the Group The time Get it up released in 1981.At the end of their tour.
TLC felt like they were not financially compesanted well and they wanted to get rid of their manager Pebbles.There were some personal things that were going on us well . watkins was battling with Sickle cell.And lisa started dating Footbal player Andre rison .And it was a violent relationship.Tlc second album was released Crazysexycool released in 1994.Rolling stone credited as the 500 best album of all time.Worldwide the album has sold 14 million copies.Creep and Waterfalls were released and they are both very soulful songs.Vocals were very popular during the early 90s.They also won several awards.1995 Tlc signed for Bankruptcy.They had lots of debts.
And also it may seem strange because thy have sold a lot of records.However they signed a deal which is basically a loan that they have to pay off.Leaving them with just small money for them.They wanted to regotiate their contract.TLC then recorded a theme song Sketchy comedy all that for Nickelodean.The group also appeared on a soundtrack album waiting to exhale.Watkins released a solo song called Touch myself 1996 film Fled.Left eye also collaborated on a song with Missy elliot Angie martinez Lil kim on a song called Not tonight.And was nominated for a grammy award.
Tlc album was delayed at that time and Chilli was dating Dallas austin and also expecting us well.They had their first child in 1997.Chilli appeared in a movie called Hav plenty.And watkins was featured in a movie called Belly in 1998.Left eye started her own production company and signed her first group called Blaque.The group did well and even went platinum.They released another album called Fanmail in 1999.The album was another success.And also no scrubs was released and it was a huge hit and it was written by Kandi burruss and Tiny.They also won 3 grammy awards.Lisa released a solo album called Supernova.
Melanie c from Spice girls collaborated with Left eye and it became a huge hit.Supernova wasn’t as succssful.So then she began working on her second album known as N.I.N.A.TLC began working on their 4 album .And unfurtunately Left eye lost her life in a car accident.Their last album together is called 3D.It became successful in japan .And in America.Watkins and Chilli released a reality tv show called R U The girl.After a long time they were able to see them again and what they were up too.Because they went through a hiatus.and were not releasing a lot after Left eye death.
That was a Music competition series.August of 2007 they released Crazy sexy hits the every best of Tlc.They made an appearance at the Bet awards and performed with En vogue and also SWV.It was a tribute to girls groups created by Alicia keys.They also performed for the season finale of the X factor.TLC music is timeless and each and every generation will always love their music.Because of the impact that they had on younger girls when it came to expression.2012 they appeared of a cover version of waterfall british girl group called Stooshe.
Tlc was also featured on Jcole song called Crooked smile.born sinner 2013 album.They also signed a new contract Epic records.Tlc released their own Biopic and it was released in 2013.The biopic was praised and the likes in the movie was praised for their own performance.Keke palmer , Lil mama , Drew sidora.Their 5 album released in 2017 June 30..Way back was a song featured in Snoop dog.There are so many things to learn.TLC has gone through a lot in their life.And it wasn’t easy for them. From death bankruptcy . They were able to pull through.All does difficult moments in their lives.They are very strong women who always knew how to get passed it.
TLC career is very interesting.They went through an era were people were selling CD’S and Cassettes.So making money at that time was very different from how they make money know.This is why we at valenzio we like to give a mixture of old school and New school to see the difference.Because the difference is big.And it’s not small like that .Many people haven’t thought about the fact that how dfficult it was to be famous back then.If you didn’t have anybody that was an expert.And knew the Business.Then you wasn’t going to become successful.So imagine you have the talent and all.But because of the fact you don’t have the connection.
