Ayra is born in Benin to Nigerian Yoruba parents.Ayra interest in Music came from her family.When she was just 10 years old she performed in a High school choir and started writing songs with her Brother.She went to University and got a degree in International relations.Not that many people who become successful Artist.Go to university.However Ayra has Nigerian parents.And that could have impacted.As to why she went to University.She comes from a culture where Education is very important.And whether they can decide to go or not .The choice isn’t always there.Ayra talked about listening to Nicki Mianaj on her way to school.
Ayra started of as a Model.Which is kind of a rare thing to do.She modelled for different companies like Mazelle Studio, Complete Fashion Magazine and Esperanza Woman.2019 she was posting covers of herself.Some Artist that are starting off.Will do covers of their favourite Artist.Because they are trying to get themselves out there.She was covering Nigerian Artist which sometimes it can be difficult to get views on Youtube.Upcoming Artist would focus on Artist that are popular already.Because they feel like they can get themselves out there.And that one strategy they normally do.Ayra being Nigerian that could be the reason she featured Artist from her own country.
Ayra appeared in a Music video Eri Ife’s song “Dear Future Wife.Everything that Ayra was doing was clearly strategic to enter the Limelight.She started off modelling and then appearing Music videos.And then finally she decided to release her original song on her Instagram page.Which can be a social media app.If you have good people following you.There are some people that don’t have people that actually really care for them being followed.Which means that any post that you put that is Music or any type of creative project.No one will support.Don jazzy label executive heard the song and got her first recording contract.

Ayra Star released her EP . 22 January 2021.It became the number 1 album in Nigeria.One thing about Nigerian Artist they have a huge population when it comes to releasing Music.The potential and the reach it can be amazing.However , for someone who comes from a smaller african country.It will be difficult because the reach isn’t there like that.As an Artist in Nigeria.If in Nigeria you become the number 1 Artist.It can reach other african countries.And even europe and Noth america.And then when the diaspora discovers you and they like your Music.It will be a wrap.They will constantly use your music on their Socials.
Songs like Away was the one that catched the most attention.And the truth is that when your doing a EP they will always be a song that people will like more.Okay african in 2021.Gave it the best songs in Nigeria.The song clearly gave Ayra the breakthrough.And that was her first Ep.Many Afrobeat artist when they first start Making Music they don’t get attention for a vey long time.It will take them a vey long time.For them to get attention.Because maybe they don’t have the resources.Especially living in a third world country.It can be very difficult.Because maybe the opportunities aren’ t here.
August 6 2021.She released her debut album called 19 & Dangerous.Ayra was doing this while being a teen.She was very young.And already getting attention.Sometimes when your young.It can be a bad idea.However , when you get that opportunity to become a successful artist at a young age.It can be an amazing opportunity.Bloody samaritan was the first number 1 song .Ayra international breakthrough came with Rush it has 347 million views.Once you get that attention in Nigeria.The possiblity to get it outside.Is very likely.That you will get it.The song charted in Switzerland , Ireland , United kingdoom.It was peaking at number 24.It became the most streamed song by a Nigerian Artist on Spotify.
The song earned Ayra Starr a grammy nomination.For best african Music performance.She was featured on a song with Wizkid.Called 2 Sugar.The song reached numbe 1 on Billboard.Ayra star song was used for a soundtrack movie called Creed III.The movie has over 270 million in the box office.This is probably one of the most diffcult things to do.Trying to get your music.In this big box office films.Your music has to be very specific.Some people would suggest as a tip write Music like your telling a story.However , it’s all about your network.Do you know how to get in to these spaces?.

The year i turn 21 is suppose to be released in May 31.Coco jones received backlash when it comes to the comments that she made when it comes to Ayra starr.Coco was saying she was going to be a Big star.And some people took that Ayra isn’t big .They felt like Ayra is a very big artist.And they were even comparing streams of other artist.And even comparing them to her.Stan culture can be super vicious.Even when you didn’t mean anything wrong.People will literally take it the wrong way.And that why many people feel like Social media is very toxic.Because people are always ready to attack.
